Jun 11, 2019 Launchpads Have Arrived!
The Library is excited to offer a new children’s item for checkout: Launchpads! Launchpads are tablets preloaded with themed educational games and activities just right for your kiddo! Some of the themes offered include STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math), dinosaurs, music, animals and more! Launchpads are available in two different target age ranges, ages 3-5 and ages 5-7.
Some other information:
- Earphones are not required for audio playback.
- Device does not have Internet connectivity, so no worries about your tech savvy preschooler finding his or her way online.
- Powered by rechargeable battery; container includes one power charging cord with both USB and AC/DC power adapter.
- Includes: customizable avatar for children and display detailing usage statistics for parents.
The Launchpads can be found in the Youth Services department shelved near the reference desk. Ask a librarian if you have trouble locating them!
