Spring Break ’19: Kid Activities at the Library

If you are planning a stay-cation for this year’s Spring Break and are looking for activities for your children, consider these Library programs (follow the links to register):

Tuesday, April 2

11:00 – 11:45am – Free Zumbini Demo Class
Ages 0 – 4
Zumbini is a beautiful, bonding, interactive music and movement  program.  You and your child (ages 0-4) have the opportunity to play and learn together through this musically based learning program! Enjoy the fun with a free demo class held at the library and learn more about Zumbini from certified Zumbini instructor Lindsey Jay! Spring session begins Saturday April 13 from 9:00am-9:45am hosted by ZFit Club held at Zionsville United Methodist Church! It’s EASY and FUN!

Noon – 1:00pm – Stuck in Zionsville Break in Box
Grades 6 – 12
Are you smart enough to enter a room and with zero clues and directions, be able to unlock a tool box filled with candy and prizes?  For students currently in grades 6-12, registration required.

Wednesday, April 3

11:30am – Noon – Move and Groove with Tots
Ages 1 – 2
Caregivers will sing, dance, and move along with their tots as we share active stories and engage in physical fitness fun.  Caregivers—be ready to model the physical activities for children—dress to move!  Children are not expected to follow along exactly, but we will provide an engaging atmosphere where they can play and learn with us as we move and have fun!

Thursday, April 4

10:30am – Noon – Spring Break Movie: Mary Poppins Returns
Families
Bring your own cup with a lid and we will provide the movie, the popcorn and lemonade.

12:30 – 1:30pm – Collaborative Art
Families
Help us fill a Collaborative Art piece with your own self portrait! Drop by the Library’s Youth department on Thursday between 12:30pm – 1:30pm as Rebecca from Palette Art Studio (on Cedar Street) helps us create a unique masterpiece! No registration necessary.

5:30 – 6:30pm – All Ages Chess

Do you like to play chess?  Stop by the library to challenge other Zionsville players.  Players young and old are welcome to join.
