We offer access to internet-connected computer labs for our patrons. With our online resources, the computer lab helps with everything from challenging research papers to simply surfing the net. We also offer printing and copying services.

COMPUTER LAB FAQ

WHO CAN USE THE COMPUTER LAB?

The Hussey-Mayfield Public Library allows all patrons, regardless of age or residency, to access the internet while in the library with an active library card or computer use card and password.

CAN PARENTS LIMIT INTERNET USAGE FOR CHILDREN?

Parents of minors, (17 and younger) who do not want their child using the internet, or to use it with adult supervision, must enforce this with their minor children. The Library is not responsible for monitoring internet use by minors.

IS INTERNET USAGE FILTERED?

Filtering software is used on all Library computers. No filter is 100% effective, the best and most reliable filter for a minor is the presence of a parent or guardian.

CAN COMPUTER PRIVILEGES BE REVOKED?

Yes, the Library reserves the right to revoke privileges in the event of a computer usage or internet usage violation. Please visit our Internet use policy for more information.

IS THERE A TIME LIMIT FOR INTERNET USAGE?

Initial use of an internet station is 120 minutes and is determined on a first come, first served basis. Additional use will be allowed based on availability and open workstations. Read the full policy for Internet use here.

CAN I PRINT FROM THE LIBRARY?

Yes, the Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library offers printing and copying services at the rate of $0.10 per sheet of paper. Copies are also $0.10 per black & white page, $0.20 per color page, and $0.40 for duplex pages. See the full pricing sheet for more information.

Looking for access to the internet? We have you covered. With your Library card, you can surf the web at one of our computer stations. We also have printing and scanning services to accommodate your needs. Enjoy any of our online resources during your visit, including our EBook library, and research databases. Need help finding a book? Use our online catalog to track down the item you’re looking for.

PRINT SERVICES

Print and Copy

We have the equipment you need to print and copy your documents. We offer black & white or color printing. Our fees are based on the costs of supplies and maintenance. Black & white copies are $0.10 per page, color copies are $0.20 per page, and $0.40 for photocopied duplexes. A typewriter is available at no charge if you provide your own paper.
