Credit Card Use

This policy applies to all forms of credit/debit card processing on behalf of HusseyMayfield Memorial Public Library (HMMPL).

The Library has established protocols in the event of an epidemic, pandemic or health emergency.

The Library allows for filming and photography under the guidelines listed in this policy.

Fines and Fees

Beginning in May 2020, our Library has gone fine-free. Items checked out at the Hussey-Mayfield Library will incur no overdue fines.

Library customers with a card may use the Interlibrary Loan service if they meet policy requirements.

The Library offers a variety of cards to individuals using the Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library.

Library Notices

Library customers who have shared their email address with the Library will receive a pre-notice before an item is due.

The loan periods, limits, renewal options, and hold policies are set by the Evergreen consortium

Lost & Damaged Items

Customers who lose or damage Library materials will be responsible for the retail replacement cost of each item.

Bulletin boards are to be used for publicity about Library events, cultural, and educational events.

Printing & Copying Fees

We offer printing and copying services with fees associated with these services based on the cost of the supplies

Proctoring Exams

Library staff will proctor distance learning exams for resident card holders and HMMPL nonresident card holders.

Social Media

Social software includes any site used by the Library that facilitates the sharing of opinions about library-related subjects.

Study Rooms

Some restrictions and guidelines apply to the use of study rooms. Read the full policy before requesting a study room.

Unattended Children

Our staff encourages children to come explore the Library, but we do have policies in place for unattended children.

Unplanned Library Closings

When weather-related or other emergencies prevent the Library from being able to provide adequate service, the Public Library will be closed.

Video Surveillance

The purpose of video surveillance is first and foremost the protection of the physical safety of customers and employees.

Wi-Fi Lending

The Library lends Wi-Fi hotspots to provide patrons with portable internet access from home, the park or on vacation.
